Brenda Helton is an author of encouraging, Christian Fiction generated from personal life experiences of love, loss, and lessons learned. Her typical writing style focuses on a character and leads the reader through decades of that character’s life creating a bond between character and reader.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Brenda Helton is a retired school teacher that dedicated thirty-five years of service in the public-school setting. She began her career in speech pathology and audiology, but over the course of three decades of working with students from preschool to high school, obtained various teaching licenses, highly qualified certificates, and a master’s degree, enabling her to work closely with students of all learning abilities in resource rooms as well as in general education classrooms. After retiring, she finally pursued her passion for writing, which evolved from her seventh-grade creative writing class and its outstanding instructor.

Brenda and her husband have three daughters and nine grandchildren. Nothing brings more joy to their hearts than having the grandchildren over to play, sleepover, and take to church.
